ABOUT US
Sweet Southern Home & Design is a firm born from founder Ashley's lifelong passion for interior design (which started in her childhood as she flipped through Southern Living and House Beautiful magazines). After a successful career in marketing and sales, Ashley took a leap of faith to pursue her true calling, feeling a divine alignment in founding her business in 2018. The interior design boom of 2020 propelled her fledgling venture into a respected firm, thanks to her seven years of residential design experience and a growing high-end portfolio.
At Sweet Southern, Ashley combines professionalism with warmth, creating spaces that blend high-end comfort with a laidback feel. She thrives on infusing each project with her clients' personalities, skillfully mixing traditional elements with vibrant colors and inspirations drawn from Southern culture, architecture, and her beloved hues of blue and green. Known for her attention to detail, Ashley's excitement during the design process is palpable. When she’s not designing, Ashley enjoys traveling and cherishing moments with her husband and two young children.
FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL DESIGNER
Ashley Davenport
Breanne joined our team in 2025 after more than a decade of running her own design firm. Transitioning from business owner to senior designer allows Breanne to focus on the creative process and designing custom spaces for our clients.
With an eye for space planning, Breanne loves working up new floor plans that take a space from “what is” to “what could be,” which is a huge asset to our team! Creating thoughtful, functional spaces that match clients is Breanne’s favorite part of the creative process. While her personal style is more lived-in traditional, Breanne enjoys design challenges and working outside her comfort zone to design spaces unique to her clients.
When she’s not knee-deep in a floor plan, Breanne is spending time with family. They are travel enthusiasts, which allows Breanne to immerse herself in new spaces and find new sources of inspiration she can incorporate into her designs. Breanne is a volunteer at her church and teaches an elementary art class at the hybrid homeschool her daughters attend.

Mallory joined SSH&D in 2021 as Ashley’s right hand woman and a supporting role in the office. You can find Mallory buzzing around town picking up and dropping off items, prepping for installs, setting up client meetings, and keeping all things organized.
Mallory has a degree in Textile Management and Marketing from NC State University and has experience in project management as well as banking. She brings invaluable knowledge from her experiences and is a project management rockstar. When she’s not working, you can find her volunteering at church and many organizations in the community, hosting game nights with friends, and spending time with her husband, two young children and sweet pup.
